16. The Importance of Goals

Everything you just read will only work if you set goals and teach your grandkids to set goals. The ability to set and achieve goals is essential to success in any endeavor.

You, as well as your grandchildren, need to set a goal to pursue the idea—and it is only an idea at this point in time. Then the idea of financial independence becomes a reality.

Setting goals puts you in charge of your life.

Create a Vision

We spoke earlier of daydreaming. Daydreaming is the creative aspect of establishing a vision; it is the seed that will grow into reality if acted upon.

As kids, we were taught to stop wasting time daydreaming, and yet that’s the catalyst to creativity. Everything in existence that was created by man came from daydreaming. Da Vinci was a daydreamer; Henry Ford was a daydreamer; everybody is a daydreamer.
